HOW TO DROP OFF A RACQUET :
We have a self serve racquets drop off and pick up area in the new building of Kingsbury Club Medfield (Follow signs to the Racquets Entrance), enter the building and behind the front desk there are two bins.Fill out the Racquet Drop Off slip completely (Slips, Pens, & Rubberbands are attached to the Racquets To Be Strung Bin) and rubberband it to the racquet and place it in the 'Racquets to Be Strung' bin. Please make sure you are entering the club during Racquets Club Hours, currently 8am-8pm Monday - Sunday. We have a 3 Business Day Turn Around Time from the time we receive the racquet, the times we receive the racquet vary, FYI. If you have any questions or this is a stringing ‘emergency’ please email us immediately for the specific time you need the racquet by. Once we have strung the racquet you will receive an email stating it is ready for pick-up and any further details/follow-up information.
HOW TO PICK UP A RACQUET :
After you have received an email indicating your racquet is ready for pick up and payment has been made please pick up your racquet which will be located behind the front desk in the 'Stringings Completed' bin. Please make sure you are entering the club during Racquets Club Hours, currently 8am-8pm Monday - Sunday. If you have any issues locating your racquet or any further questions, email Jillian.

A LITTLE INFO...
STRING: We have lots of different strings, Strings are the soul of the racquet and actually have more of an impact on your game than the racquet frame itself! Above is a complete list of the strings we have in stock, although, we can custom order any string for you as well. If you'd like to try something that is not on the list but are not sure what to try, we also offer free stringing consulting and can make recommendations of string that are not on the list! Just call us! 508.446.6099
GAUGE: Gauge is the thickness of the string. Generally ranging from 15-18, but can go up to 20 Gauge.
15 = Thickest = Improved durability
18 = Thinner = Improved playability, Replaced more often, More spin Potential
TENSION: Tension is tricky. The first thing you want to do is look at your racquet and on the throat it will say the Manufacturer's Recommended Tension Range. Somewhere in the middle of the Manufacturer's Recommendation is probably the best tension, although there are exceptions!
Tension is measured in Pounds (Lbs.).

SOME STRINGING FACTS (THANKS TO WWW.TENNIS-WAREHOUSE.COM ... a GREAT RESOURCE)
**Pre-stretching aligns (stretches) the polymer chains in the string and "sets" the string, which reduces tension loss, albeit slightly. Generally, the more pre-stretching (prior to stringing) the less tension loss after stringing.

SOME STRINGING FACTS (THANKS TO WWW.TENNIS-WAREHOUSE.COM ... a GREAT RESOURCE)
- Lower string tensions generate more power (providing string movement does not occur).
- Higher string tensions generate more ball control (for experienced players).
- A longer string (or string plane area) produces more power.
- Decreased string density (fewer strings) generates more power.
- Thinner string generates more power.*
- More elastic strings generate more power. (Generally, what will produce more power will also absorb more shock load at impact.)
- Softer strings, or strings with a softer coating, tend to vibrate less.
- Thinner strings tend to produce more spin.
- Increased string density (more strings) generates more control.
- The more elastic the string, the more tension loss in the racquet after the string job.**
**Pre-stretching aligns (stretches) the polymer chains in the string and "sets" the string, which reduces tension loss, albeit slightly. Generally, the more pre-stretching (prior to stringing) the less tension loss after stringing.
SOME RACQUET FACTS (THANKS TO WWW.TENNIS-WAREHOUSE.COM )
- A heavier frame generates more power.
- A heavier frame vibrates less.
- A heavier frame has a larger sweetspot.
- A stiffer frame generates more power.
- A stiffer frame has a larger sweetspot.
- A stiffer frame transmits more of the shock load to the arm than a more flexible frame.
- A stiffer frame provides a more uniform ball response across the entire string plane.
- A larger frame generates more power.
- A larger frame is more resistant to twisting.
- A larger frame has a larger sweetspot.
- A longer frame generates more velocity and therefore more power.
- The string bed in a longer frame generates more spin due to increased velocity.
